Jury Awards Woman $186 Million in Discrimination Lawsuit Against Autozone

I recently noticed a news story about a pregnant woman who worked for AutoZone, and brought a claim against AutoZone for discrimination as a result of her pregnancy.  I note that that she was awarded $872,000 in actual damages and $185 million in punitive damages! Well… this shows that the courts can and do flex their muscles to punish employers/defendants who act egregiously.  Our office was recently contacted by a woman with a similar claim.  She alleged she worked at Sport Clips for six months and then presented her employer restrictions she had due to her pregnancy upon which she was promptly fired.  Is this a case?  We think so, and we have endeavored to help her.  Stay tuned, and we will see how this case progresses.  The Law Offices of Sef Krell is here to fight for all people that have been wronged by their employer.
